28 May 2021, Burton upon Trent, UK – Doncasters Group has announced the appointment of Helen Barrett-Hague as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer, joining 1 June, as well as the departure of incumbent General Counsel and Group Company Secretary, Ian Molyneux, who has decided to step down from his role and will leave the business during the late summer in order to pursue other business interests, after more than 10 years with the Group.

Mike Quinn, Doncasters CEO, commented: “On behalf of the Doncasters Board and the senior management team I’d like to thank Ian for his many years of dedicated service to the Group. Ian played a key role during the successful restructuring of the business in 2020 and has been a trusted and effective advisor to the Board during his tenure.

“I look forward to continue working with him over the coming months as we welcome Helen to the business.”

Helen is an experienced General Counsel who has worked across engineering and industrial sectors at various PLCs, including the Pennon Group where she was instrumental in advising on strategy, contracts, litigation, risk, liability, disclosure, compliance and governance.

While Helen will take immediate responsibility for the day to day running of the legal team, Ian will remain in the business on a part-time basis in order to support a period of handover and ensure a smooth transition with no impact upon the business or its stakeholders.
