July 2025 – Sustainability goals take a step forward with solar panel installation
An exciting milestone in Doncasters’ journey toward greater sustainability has been reached with the installation of the first solar panels at our Deritend site.
The first of 2,400 panels have now gone up at DPC Deritend, kicking off one of Doncasters’ most ambitious green energy initiatives to date.
Once fully operational, the panels will generate a significant portion of the site’s electricity needs, reducing the carbon footprint while supporting long-term energy efficiency. It’s a bold step that aligns with Doncasters’ wider environmental strategy – proving that innovation isn’t just about the parts made, but how to power the processes behind them.
General Manager Adam Knight said: “This project represents a major step forward in our future – not just as a business, but as a responsible manufacturer.
