February 2026 – Doncasters has welcomed senior leaders from the City of Bochum and Bochum Economic Development to its site in Germany, following the recent announcement of a $52 million investment in the facility.

The visit brought together key regional stakeholders, including Jörg Lukat, Oberbürgermeister of Bochum, alongside representatives from Bochum Economic Development, Rouven Beeck, Managing Director, and Dr Thomas Wollinger, Managing Director.

During the visit guests toured the Bochum site and met with Doncasters’ leadership team to learn more about the planned investment, which will strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities, support long term growth and reinforce Doncasters’ commitment to the region.

The $52 million investment, which represents one of the most significant capital programmes in Doncasters’ history, will enhance production capacity at the Bochum facility, supporting key aerospace programmes while creating new highly skilled jobs. The project underlines Doncasters’ confidence in Bochum as a strategic manufacturing location and its strong partnership with local and regional stakeholders.
