11 May 2020 – Burton Upon Trent, UK – Doncasters Group has today announced the appointment of Simon Martle as the group’s interim chief financial officer (CFO). Simon will be responsible for leading the finance and IT departments and is expected to be in role for six months.

In addition, Neil Robson of THM Partners will be stepping down on 31 May. Appointed as chief performance officer in November 2019 on an interim basis to assist with the group’s now-completed financial restructuring, Neil also assumed responsibility for group finance in March 2020 on a temporary basis pending the recruitment of a CFO.

“We are pleased to appoint Simon to the position of interim CFO,” said Mike Quinn, Doncasters Group chief executive officer. “Simon has a strong background in leading corporate finance teams as well as essential experience in similar industries.

“I’d also like to thank Neil Robson for his contribution and hard work during a particularly important period for Doncasters.”

Simon Martle has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance. He was most recently the group financial controller of Kier Group Plc and before that spent a number of years in various CFO and finance director roles within Rolls-Royce Plc.
