10 January 2014, Burton-upon-Trent, UK — Tim Martin has been appointed Global Vice President – Sourcing and Strategic Business Development, effective immediately. Mr Martin will report directly to Raymond Mitchell, Chief Operating Officer.
Mr Martin recently retired from UTC/Goodrich/Rohr after 35 years of service. He was Vice President, Supply Chain and Strategic Initiatives at United Technologies Aerospace Systems – Aerostructures, and the Chairman of the Board for GATT – Tianjin China (United Technologies Aerospace Systems’ Chinese facility and operations).
Prior to this he held various leadership positions in Supply Chain, Aftermarket Services, Customer Support, Program Management, Business Development, and Operations. He is a certified “Lean Manufacturing” Practitioner with extensive continuous improvement experience.
He is member of the San Diego World Trade Center’s “Asia Round Table.” In addition he has also played a lead role in establishing strategies for competitive cost country manufacturing and sourcing, including Mexico, Vietnam, Malaysia.
