Doncasters is a leading supplier of turbine airfoils to the industrial gas turbine industry.
The group manufactures a broad range of investment cast turbine airfoils - up to 350Kg vacuum melt and 500Kg air melt - with parts up to a 1.2m size envelope. The group produces equiaxed, directionally solidified and single crystal components using a wide range of nickel and cobalt based superalloys and steels. In addition, the company is able to offer ceramic core manufacture, masters melt and hot isostatic pressing facilities in-house.
Doncasters has an extensive turbine airfoil forging capability, offering precision and oversize airfoils from 1 inch up to 32 inches in length in all materials, including titanium, nickel and steels.
Doncasters also offers dedicated machining facilities covering the full range of CNC machining operations - grinding, milling, electrochemical discharge machining (EDM) and laser drilling.
