January 24, 2017 – (Elyria, OH) Nelson Fastener Systems, the pioneer of critical fastener systems technology and engineered components worldwide, has appointed Traci Knechtges and Lynne Degand to essential roles within their financial department.
Mrs. Knechtges has assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer for Nelson Fastener Systems. With 20 years of experience within the Nelson family, Mrs. Knechtges began as a Financial Analyst, and then progressed to Controller, Nelson North America, Nelson Worldwide and most recently Director of Finance and Administration for Nelson Fastener Systems. In addition, she has led the business’s ERP Consolidation initiative.
Mrs. Knechtges graduated from Georgetown College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and is also a registered Certified Public Accountant.
Mrs. Degand has taken on the role of Financial Director, Nelson Stud Welding Worldwide. She joined Nelson’s financial team in 2014 as Controller. Previous to Nelson, Mrs. Degand held Director and Vice President positions with ITT, Goodrich, Gardner Denver and most recently Cliffs Natural Resources.
Mrs. Degand is a graduate of Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree and a Master’s of Business Administration from Xavier University.
