Specialist manufacturing capabilities include:
At Doncasters, we pride ourselves on working closely with OEMs to develop cutting edge components that will be at the forefront of the industry for years to come. We have a responsive team of experts ready to assist at all stages of the production process, from design to value engineering, testing and failure analysis.
Our Nelson Stud Welding facility manufactures both ‘off the shelf’ and bespoke fasteners in a range of shapes, sizes and configurations. These include threaded and non-threaded studs, collar studs, t-studs, lagging studs, insulator pins and wide flange studs in a range of materials including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
Additional services include cross drilling, slotting, bending , grooving, pointing, swaging, flat milling and piercing for a range of fasteners. The site also has a speciality in highly-engineered cold forming and creating high-quality surface finishes, all of which meet the most demanding tolerances for high-stress applications.
Alongside fasteners, Doncasters also supplies a range of portable and feed-stud welding systems, including the patented drawn arc tack and tarc welding system, suitable for high volume, robotic welding applications, and a range of custom-designed, high-production systems.
As one of the world’s largest and most respected manufacturers of superalloys for a range of performance-critical, precision-engineered components, we are particularly proud of our expertise working with a range of metals and alloys that are difficult to shape and form. Additionally, we can offer customers services to form and shape carbon steels, stainless steel, specially formulated alloys, inconel and pyromet.
