Role Overview

Doncasters Precision Castings is seeking an experienced EHS professional to join our team. Reporting in to the Quality Manager, with support from a Group based EHS function, The EHS coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Company’s commitment to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, as well as the support of all EHS Management System activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical EHS expertise and support in the identification, measurement and control of safety, occupational health and environmental hazards and risks
Facilitate near-miss, injury/illness root-cause investigations and medical case management as the subject matter expert.
Drive employee engagement in workplace safety and health through education, coaching and recognition.
Manage, maintain and improve EHS Management Systems documentation, communications and record retention.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the Corrective (CAR) / Preventive (PAR) Action System
Develop and manage the dissemination of inspection requirements and procedures
Represents the EHS Department as the point of contact for vendors and sub-contractors
Coordinate and manage the Management Review Process, and applicable EHS KPIs / reporting
Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in relevant subject (preferred)
Understanding of local, regional and federal EHS regulations (essential)
Knowledge of EHS Management Systems to both OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements (essential)
Experience

Minimum of 5 years working EHS experience within a manufacturing environment (essential)
Experience in Industrial Engineering / Ergonomics (preferred)
Experience in communicating and disseminating EHS information to a range of stakeholders in a large organization (preferred)
Experience managing and improving EHS systems (preferred)
Experience working in a standalone EHS role, obtaining results with minimal supervision (preferred)
Experience auditing multi-faceted roles (preferred)
